Cherish A. Thompson
Ms. Thompson is a commercial and international law litigator with substantive experience in creditors’ remedies foreclosure and professional responsibility. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation, bankruptcy, and banking operational matters for international and domestic corporate disputes.
Ms. Thompson has represented clients in state and federal courts, as well as before arbitration panels, at both the trial and appellate court levels.
Ms. Thompson has represented international and U.S. corporations and individual clients on a wide variety of issues, ADA issues, trademarks disputes, domestication of foreign judgments, executions, replevin, garnishment, fraudulent transfers, constructive trust, stay relief, conversion civil theft and abatement. Ms. Thompson has also represented financial institutions with issues relevant to the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), non-dischargeability.
Ms. Thompson is an accredited Mediator in the United Kingdom, and consults with clients throughout the UK, Monaco and South America.
Prior to joining Tenzer PLLC, Ms. Thompson was an attorney at Astigarraga, Davis, Mullins, & Grossman, P.A., (now formally known as Sequor Law), where she worked in the Commercial Litigation and International Arbitration Section. From 2009-2017 Ms. Thompson has been recognized among her peers by Super Lawyers Magazine as a “Rising Star.”
- Successfully handled the largest foreclosure case in Florida to date; handled a case of first impression on clogging the equitable right of redemption
- Successfully handled a broad range of litigation matters on both plaintiff and defense sides
- Represented restaurants in the defense of ADA issues and Trademark disputes
