Tenzer PLLC member Ari M. Tenzer appointed co-chair of Urban Land Institute’s Hospitality and Recreation Development Council

MIAMI, FL – June 13, 2017 – Tenzer PLLC Member Ari M. Tenzer, a leading domestic and international hospitality attorney, was appointed Co-Chair of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Hospitality and Recreation Development Council at ULI’s State Summit in Tampa on May 25, 2017.

The appointment puts Tenzer at the helm of a pivotal industry organization with a membership that includes some of the most talented, successful, and influential professionals in real estate and related fields. The Hospitality and Recreation Development Council is one of five of ULI’s Florida Product Councils, which are intimate groups of State of Florida organization members who shape the programming and initiatives of the annual ULI Statewide Conference.

Tenzer has dedicated substantial time to ULI and the Council over the years, most recently serving as Assistant Programming Chair for the group.

“I am honored and excited to assume this important role with the Council,” said Tenzer. “ULI has afforded me the opportunity to work closely with an incredible group of industry leaders. It is exciting to think about what the future holds for this organization and Florida’s hospitality industry in general. Along with my Co-Chair, Robert Karver from Ernst & Young’s Real Estate and Hospitality Advisory Group, we are looking to bring exciting new programming and flavor to this unique Product Council.”

Issues and topics addressed by the Council include hotel development and acquisitions, gaming, mixed-use and master-plan resort communities, food & beverage and entertainment uses, financing, rehab/reuse, and asset management.

Tenzer is the founder and managing member of the Tenzer PLLC law firm. His extensive experience includes advising domestic and international clients on the acquisition, sale, development, financing, leasing, and management of real estate. Tenzer devotes a considerable amount of his practice to transactions in the hospitality industry, representing owners and operators in connection with diverse matters, including negotiating hotel management agreements, casino management agreements, hotel license and franchise agreements, complex restaurant leases, and food and beverage management agreements for projects around the world.
